★ 322 번째 도전자 박미선 님, 오늘은 한국에 오신 특별한 손님에게 미션을 도전했습니다. NETKAL, Networks of Korean American Leaders Group 의 대표 중 한 분인, Esther Song 씨 인데요. 성공한 한국계 미국인들이 모인 NETKAL 이라는 단체는 벌써 4기 째 대표들이 모여 좋은 활동을 많이 하고 있다고 합니다. 이 분들이 주도한 특별한 행사가 지난 주말 있었다는데요. 미국 대통령 오바마의 취임식과 슈퍼볼 개막식에서 공연해서 전성기를 맞고 있는 R&B 싱어 John Legend가 함께 한 자선 행사입니다. 어떤 행사였는지 박미선 님께서 Esther 씨께 여쭤보았습니다. M1. 누구를 위한 기금 마련 행사였나요? M2. 몇 명이 참가했나요? M3. 이 행사에서 당신은 어떤 일을 했나요? Q1. Who was the fund raising for?   Q2. How many people attended the event?    Q3. What is your role in the fund raising?  A1. We had an event on last Saturday evening , it was night of charity for children.     It was for helping out the Korean orphanages,     as well as for John Legend's "Show Me Campaign" which help the poverty in Africa. A2. We had a little of 50 guests, they attended contributing to the events. A3. As part of the NETKAL,      it's an organization called Networks of Korean American Leaders,     it's a program second generation Korean American together,     leaders in all different industry,     one of the mebers is one that came up with this idea with John Legend Team,     when they ran into each other.     We had only about 2-4 weeks to really put the event together.     Five delegates came to help organize the event.     There were five of us in Netkal. ★ 미국에서 성공한 분들이 고국, Motherland를 잊지 않고 찾아와     좋은 일을 하고 계시니 참 자랑스럽고 멋집니다.     아프리카를 위해 자선단체를 설립한 John Legend도 멋지구요.     여기에 참석한 사람들은 개인 당 100만원 정도를 기부했다고      Esther 씨께서 말씀하셨죠.     성공한 사람들이 그들만의 풍요에 머무는 것이 아니라     서로서로 나누는 기부 문화가 우리나라에도 더 폭넓고 자연스럽게 정착했으면 좋겠습니다.  ***Written by Candy
